How to change Boot menu on UEFI Bios

UEFI BIOS:

If your Windows 10 or 8 computer is using the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) for booting, you need to play with the BIOS setup to boot directly from CD or other devices. This tutorial shows steps to modify boot order.

InsydeH20 UEFI BIOS:

Step by step change UEFI to Legacy boot manager.

After chnaging settings and rebooting , press boot key (usually f12 or f9 on HP’s).

Press Key to enter Bios setup during boot (usually F1 or F2 or F10) and go t BOOT Tab.

 

 

1: Go to Boot TAB

Change BOOT Mode from UEFI to Legacy Support.


 

Change Boot Priority from UEFI First to Legacy First.

 

2: Go to Configuration Tab and change Sata Controller mode from AHCI to Compatible IDE

(This step is for making your disk conroller work in compatibility mode, for use with Hirens Boot CD, Other Live CD’s and tools like Norton GHOST that wont find computers Hard disk in AHCI mode)


 

3: Go to Exit Tab and select Exit saving changes

 

After That and pressing quick boot key during Boot Usually “F12 or F9” we have the old style boot manager.

REMEMBER: after finishing our job, AHCI Controller mode must be enabled again, if not , we may have boot problems with Windows 10 or 8.
