Administrator is the main Windows Account who has most priviliges. But the name is pre-defined by windows and is called always “Administrator”
To change Administrator user name please follow steps below. Remember, you must logon using new name after changing it since “Administrator” will not exist anymore.
Step 1: Hit Windows key on keyboard + “R” key to open run command window, type “gpedit.msc” and hit Enter.
Step 2: Group Policy Editor window will open, navigate to:
Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options
Find “Accounts: Rename administrator account” option on the list and double click it.
Step 3: Enter new name for Administrator and click “OK“
Administrator has been ranamed.
